The Junior High and High School EIM competitions will take place on the same date at thesame time in the same area at the CGCC Pecos campus. We will have two competition levels -one for Junior High and one for High School students. All competition rooms will have at leastone adult sponsor/chaperone present during the competition.
The competition will consist of a collaborative team activity and there will be no individual,multiple choice exams. All teams will compete by working on producing a well communicatedsolution to an extended problem-solving situation. After the allotted time, each team will presenttheir solution to a panel of CGCC judges and winners will be determined using a scoring rubric.
Please note that registration is for one team of 4 students per team. If space available, we willopen registration for schools to register a second team after 11/16/2026. All entries are first-come first-served for any remaining openings.
If registering a second team, each team must have a (different) sponsor. Each sponsor will beassigned a room to monitor the students participating in the competition. Sponsors will not beassigned to the same rooms as their students.
Registration will close once all spots are filled or on 12/11/2026.
Cost: Cost per team is $40.00. All registration fees are non-refundable.
